American chivalry

Is this the new American chivalry?

There was a time when the heroes of American culture were intrepid cowboys and sheriffs.
They were ready to face any danger for the sake of justice. And they had a code of conduct.
They did not kill without giving the other guy a fighting chance. A man shooting another man in the back was the mark of a villain.

Nowadays things have changed. American film producers want to sell another kind of hero.
One that shoot from the distance in a stealthy and deadly way like this year Oscar contender movie, American Sniper.
Next movie will be about the bravery of UAV pilots, operating killing machines from across the ocean?
